Can you make the case for game management and conservation?
Reply Quote

Come and hear for yourself about the research, facts and figures that resulted in our new report Nature’s gain – how gamebird management has influenced wildlife conservation. We will be holding a series of evening seminars around the country in spring 2006. This is essential information for all those involved in game, wildlife and countryside management. If you want to be able to "make the case" you need to come to one of these lectures! We will also be sharing with you the preliminary results of our three-year study looking at the impacts of released pheasants on the habitats and wildlife in the countryside. Our speakers will include Stephen Tapper, Director of Policy and Public Affairs, and Nick Sotherton, Director of Research. Stephen Tapper wrote Nature’s gain and has an unrivalled understanding of the contribution game management makes, both now and in the past, to landscape and conservation. Nick Sotherton has directed GCT research since 1998 and has been personally involved in most of the scientific projects that have contributed to this body of knowledge. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.

To book your place please contact The Game Conservancy Trust on 01425 652381, fax 01425 655848 or email: jhilton@gct.org.uk. There will be a charge of £7.50 per person to include refreshments. Please make cheques payable to The Game Conservancy Trust.
