I have attached the latest uptake figures for Environmental Stewardship. The top ten options selected in current Entry Level Stewardship agreements are (with % of agreements taking them up and average area / length of option undertaken per agreement using the option) are as follows:
- hedgerow management one-side (59% 3418m)
- hedgerow management two-sides (53% 3492m)
- low-input grassland outside SDA (42% 15 ha)
- ditch management (29% 1776m)
- very low-input grassland outside SDA (29% 8 ha)
- crop protection management plan (28% 193 ha)
- soil management plan (28% 192 ha)
- nutrient management plan (27% 205 ha)
- enhanced hedgerow management (27% 2921m)
- manure management plan (24% 174 ha)
There is still the legacy of the management plan options which were ruled out of new agreements by the EU in 2007
